FA Cup final: It’s Arsenal’s chance —Conte

Arsenal will be going in search of a third FA Cup in four seasons when they face off against champions Chelsea at Wembley today.

The Gunners are the most successful club in the history of the competition having lifted the trophy 12 times previously, six of those triumphs coming under current boss Arsene Wenger.

Chelsea arrive at Wembley looking to complete the double for only the second time in their history having got their hands on the Premier League trophy last weekend.

Chelsea finished 18 points ahead of Arsenal but Antonio Conte believes his team are the underdogs due to their opponent’s desperation to win a trophy this season.

“We could start as underdogs because we won the league and we celebrated,” said the Italian.

“It was right to enjoy the moment, but we face a team who lost the possibility to play in the Champions League and this is their only chance of saving the season.’’

The last time the two sides met in the 2002 FA Cup final it was Arsenal who were celebrating, Freddie Ljungberg and Ray Parlour helping the Gunners complete the double on that occasion.
