Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has reiterated that the support of the club’s fans will not change his decision on his future at Camp Nou.
Iniesta’s decision to quit Barcelona is likely to be made public in the coming weeks near and the 33-year-old could well leave the Camp Nou in the summer with numerous clubs in China interested in securing his services.
After Saturday’s dismantling of Valencia by club record signing Philippe Coutinho’s fine midfield performance, the Spain international in an interview as quoted by MARCA said: “I have the support of the fans, but it isn’t something that will change my mind.
“I know what I’m going to do with my future. On Tuesday we didn’t play the match that was required, it was not a match to be eliminated in.” said Iniesta
The feeling around the Camp Nou is that the veteran midfielder will depart, and despite not giving any clarification, either way, Ernesto Valverde was hugely complimentary to the Spaniard.
