After seeing his side win a ticket to play in this year’s Federation Cup final, Nasarawa United FC handler, Kabir Suleiman Dogo has said the final match will determine his next destination.
Speaking after his side beat Enyimba of Aba in the second semi-final of the Federation Cup in Ibadan, Dogo said he still has a contract with Nasarawa but the outcome of the FA Cup final will determine whether to stick with the team or seek another challenge.
“I don’t know my next move until after the Federation Cup final because that is my priority for now,” he said.
The former ABS of Ilorin coach stated that his wards deserved to beat People’s Elephant just as he lauded Ibadan fans for their support.
He gave kudos to the players and the management of the team, likewise the Nasarawa State government for providing the logistics for them to get to the final of the Federation Cup.
“I really thank God for the victory and I will not like to talk about any tactics because it goes beyond our imagination, but all praises go to God and I really need to thank the government of Nasarawa and my players for making the state proud.
“We have a target to play on the continent, we couldn’t get that during the cause of the league, but this is the best chance for us to get it by beating our opponents in the FA Cup final.
“Nasarawa will be playing the final for the first time in their 20-year history, we need that Cup and we are going to get it by God’s grace.”
Also, chairman of the club, Mr Issac Danladi, said “we’ve broken the jinx and we are going to get that Cup by the special grace of God. At least we’ve played on the continent before and we know how it is and we are going to repeat that by lifting the Federation Cup,” he boasted.
