Tennis legend, Roger Federer has often proved he is one of sport’s Mr Nice Guys, and the Swiss superstar reinforced that this week by paying a surprise visit to the players of PSG… moments after they had inflicted a last-gasp defeat upon his team Basel.
Federer was watching from the stands as the French giants faced Basel in a Champions League Group A clash at St Jakob Park.
PSG emerged victorious courtesy of a 90th minute Thomas Meunier goal, breaking the hearts of the Swiss swiss league leaders.
But despite watching his native team come agonisingly close but leaving with nothing, Federer still found time to head down to the dressing room to surprise the stars of PSG.
Federer, unarguably one of tennis’s all time greats, posed for a picture along with PSG captain Thiago Silva, Marco Verratti, Lucas Moura and Marquinhos.
The players, suited and booted following their Champions League heroics, were all smiles as they posed with Federer.
The 35-year-old is still using his time to prepare for his tennis comeback after not stepping onto a court since his Wimbledon semi-final defeat to Milos Raonic back in July.
