FIFA ranking: Nigeria’s Super Eagles ranks 36th globally

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up by three spots to place world 36th in the October FIFA ranking.

The team previously had 1498.02 and now has 1503.29 which has kept them as the fourth African team on the ranking table with Morocco (13th) Senegal(20th) and Egypt (30th) coming first, second and third respectively on the African ranking.

The latest world ranking was released on Thursday, October 24 as published on FIFA’s website. In Africa, the Super Eagles also moved up, climbing from sixth to fourth position.

The Eagles and Libya still await CAF’s verdict on their matchday 4 fixture which was called off. The game which was scheduled for Benghazi was cancelled by CAF after the Super Eagles players were left stranded at an airport for more than 10 hours.

The TOP 10 on the List:

Argentina (1st), France (2nd), Spain (3rd), England (4th), Brazil (5th) Belgium (6th), Portugal (7th), Netherlands (8th), Italy (9th), Colombia (10th).

The next FIFA world ranking will be published on November 28, 2024.
