Filipe Luis back in Atletico Madrid after fractured leg

Atletico Madrid have received a boost ahead of the second leg of their Europa League semi-final with Arsenal with the return of defender Filipe Luis.

In March, Luis sustained a fractured leg during a European fixture with Lokomotiv Moscow and the left-back was ruled out for the rest of the season.

There were even concern that Luis would not be available for Brazil at this summer’s World Cup but the 32-year-old is back in the fold after just seven weeks out of action.

However, Luis is likely to only feature on the bench with Lucas Hernandez having deputised in his absence and impressed during the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

Luis has made a total of 25 appearances in all competitions this season.
