The 2024 Abuja Fitness Football Club League, in collaboration with Esthintin Group, has kicked off with six participating clubs which include Team Fecotech, Team Double King, Team B & E, Team Champion Properties, Team Desert Palmer and Team GMT.

Sporting Tribune reports that the annual football festival featured a Super Cup final match between Team Fecotech against Team B&E which saw Team Fecotech emerged winner through a 2-1 penalty shootout after the match ended goalless.

The essence of the football competition, according to the organisers, is aimed at uniting the nation through sports and also to use the game of football to promote Nigeria as an enabling environment for business and investment.

The Fitness Football Club (FFC) chairman, Mathias Oluchi Osi, thanked the players and facilitators of the league for their continued commitment and development of football in Nigeria. He said the tournament over the years has fostered unity and inspired members to greater heights.

“Football is a unifying factor in Nigeria irrespective of tribal, ethnic or religious affiliations. Nigeria is one and we have been able to use this tournament to promote unity and love among ourselves and there is no going back. As you can see, we are all one. Let us come together to lift Nigeria and we will all be happy for it,” the FFC chairman told Sporting Tribune.

The keynote speaker, Omaha Emmanuel Uchenna, while speaking with Sporting Tribune believes that the competition has built the minds of the people towards a brighter and prosperous future. He thanked the players for their determination and teamwork for making the tournament a reality.

The Abuja Fitness Football Club has existed for the past 13 years with a goal of helping young Nigerians to achieve their dreams.

Meanwhile, the 2024 new season of the six aside football tournament also witnessed a draw to kickstart the competition. While Team Desert Palmer and Team GMT will try to size each other’s up, Team Fecotech and Team Double King as well as Team Champion Properties and Team B & E will battle for supremacy.
