Nigeria women’s national U-17 team midfielder, Faridat Abdulwahab has assured Nigerians of a World Cup ticket ahead of the Dominican Republic 2024 FIFA U17 tournament.
Nigeria’s team played a 1-1 against Burkina Faso in the first leg of the qualifier played at Bamako, capital of Mali last Saturday.
The Flamingos girls are expected to play the return leg this weekend at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja and Faridat is optimistic of maximum victory over their counterparts.
She said the first leg was a tough match for her side but with current high spirits in camp, they will be able to tame the away team.
“I believe we can do the needful on Saturday when we play our second leg against Burkina Faso and pick a World Cup ticket. We can’t afford to fail the country as we are well prepared for the encounter,” said Faridat.
“We need Nigerians prayers to back up our hardwork because we are ready for the encounter,” Faridat added.
