Nigeria U20 team, Flying Eagles defeated Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Wikki Tourists 2-0 in a friendly match played at the FIFA Goal Project pitch Abuja on Thursday evening.
The match is one of the series of friendly games lined up as the team continues preparation for the African U20 Championship.
Remo Stars forward, Adam Olamilekan scored a beautiful free kick to gave his side an early lead before substitute Olusegun Otusanya scored the second goal in 88th minute to give the Nigeria U-20 team victory.
Coach Ladan Bosso fielded a strong team against the Giant Elephants in the keenly contested match.
The team will take on Nasarawa United and Lobi Stars to wrap up their first phase of camping.
The Africa U-20 Championship is scheduled for February 18 to March 12, 2023 in Egypt.
