FORMER Liverpool forward El-Hadji Diouf has revealed he warned Mario Balotelli about joining the Kop.
Diouf, who played for Liverpool between 2002 and 2005, has insisted that the player and the club were never a good fit.
And he’s also taken a massive swipe at Anfield legend Steven Gerrard after Balotelli finally left Liverpool for Nice.
The Senegal international has blasted Gerrard as a jealous man who doesn’t like people with character.
Diouf told French paper L’Equipe: “I told him not to go to Liverpool.
“It wasn’t made for him, that things couldn’t go well with Gerrard, who has never had his talent and then said negative things about him.
“Gerrard is a jealous man who doesn’t like men of character.
“Mario is a good person that you should listen to.
“He’s not a guy who’s going to cause problems in the dressing room.”
