Former Spain boss Camacho sacked by Gabon

Former Spain boss Jose Antonio Camacho has been dismissed from his role as Coach of the Gabon national team, it has been confirmed.

The former left-back amassed over 450 first-team appearances for Real Madrid spanning over a 15-year playing career, before going on to enjoy a distinguished coaching career.

He was boss at Madrid on two separate occasions alongside managing Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano, Espanyol, Osasuna, Benfica alongside the national jobs of Spain and China.

The 63-year-old replaced Jorge Costa as Gabonese head coach in 2016 but managed just two wins and nine goals across 17 matches.
