Prize money for this year’s French Open will increase by 9.5%, with a larger share allocated to qualifying rounds and early-stage matches.
Singles champions will earn €2.8 million (£2.44m), representing a 9.8% rise.
Players competing in the qualifying rounds will see an increase of close to 13%, while first-round losers in the main draw will receive €87,000 (£75,700), an 11.5% improvement.
The adjustment comes amid ongoing calls from players for higher earnings at Grand Slam events, along with stronger welfare support.
Although the increase by the French Tennis Federation is higher than last year’s adjustment, it still falls short of the rises implemented at both the US Open and the Australian Open in the past year.

Mauresmo Rules Out Increased Camera Access at Roland Garros
Amélie Mauresmo, the tournament director has also confirmed that there will be no expansion of camera coverage in player areas at the French Open this year.
The issue gained attention earlier in the season, with Iga Świątek saying players were being watched “like animals in the zoo” during the Australian Open.
Coco Gauff also raised concerns over privacy after footage showed her smashing her racquet at Melbourne Park, while Jessica Pegula described the level of access as an “invasion of privacy”.
Speaking at a press conference in Paris, Mauresmo made the tournament’s position clear.
“The broadcasters want to know more about players – it’s true,” Mauresmo said at the news conference in Paris.
“But we want to maintain the respect for their privacy. They need to have a private area, so we won’t change that stance.”
