Fresh, Akinwunmi donates N350,000 for Bamigbelu surgery

Chairman Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical and Development Committee and Niger State FA boss, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh and the first Vice President, Nigeria Football Federation, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi have redeemed their pledge to support Photo Journalist, Bamigbelu Origa’s surgery.

The CAF Technical and Development Committee Member, Seyi Akinwunmi  and six State FA Chairmen promised to support the hardworking journalist who needed Five million naira for hip replacement and Osteomyelitis surgery at the 2017 Ogunjobi Golden Cup final in Osun State.

The Lagos FA chairman donated the sum of one hundred and fifty towards the surgery while Fresh dropped the sum of two hundred thousand naira .

“I have received Mr Fresh and Aknwunmi’s  donation of Two hundred thousands naira and one hundred and fifty thousand respectively  As I speak now we have N3,885,000 in the donation account and the money needed is Five million naira but with Alhaji Fresh donation the process will begin.

“I appreciate what Alhaji Fresh has done for me, particularly in Osun State, he helped me raise funds for the surgery amongst other FA Chairman. He led by example again with the payment into the surgery account. May God bless him and protect his family, he has risen my hope with the donation,” emotional Origa said.

Origa further revealed the plans for the surgery and pleaded for more help from the State FA Chairmen that pledged in Osun State and all stake holders.

“My sincere appreciation goes to Barrister Akinwunmi as well,it was a good thing for me and i pray to God to always enrich him,” he said.

“I want to use this opportunity to appreciate Oyo State FA for their support so far, and I will like to say a big thank you to a good Samaritan who paid millions of naira into the donation account. I have also received huge support from players, club chairmen and several Nigerian who have donated for the surgery, I appreciate everyone. I am pleading for more support, with my medical team we have set plans to begin the surgery process in December,” he said.
