THE Oyo State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and Fresh FM, Ibadan will today clash in a friendly match billed for 4pm.
The match, which is part of the activities to celebrate the first anniversary of the Fresh FM radio station is scheduled to hold at the Lead City University Sports Complex, Ibadan.
According to the vice chairman of Oyo SWAN, Akeem Abas, the ‘pen pushers’are in high spirits and would showcase the best of football before spectators today.
“We are poised to score as many goals as possible and win the match convincingly. It is a friendly but we have to prove superiority that we are not just reporting the game, we are involved in it as well practically,” he said.
Also speaking to Tribunesport, Head, Corporate Affairs and Promotions, Fresh FM, David Ajiboye, said that though the match is a not a competitive one, Fresh FM team will leave no stone unturned to emerge victorious.
“We are playing at home and we are sure of 100 per cent home support to win, coupled with our preparation for the match. Everybody is set for the match and we believe we are well prepared to win,” Ajiboye said.
