Twelve countries have booked their places at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), to be hosted by Morocco.
Nigeria, the ten-time champions, advanced after a 3–1 aggregate win over Benin to seal an 11th straight appearance. Malawi and Cape Verde qualified for the first time, while Kenya and Burkina Faso returned after long absences.
Algeria, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal, Tanzania, and Zambia also secured qualification, joining hosts Morocco.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) said the four semi-finalists at the tournament will automatically qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while two more teams will enter intercontinental playoffs.
