Gateway Games: Kwara’s Ashiribo Olalekan eyes national camp call-up

Ashiribo Olalekan, who secured the first gold medal for Team Kwara in cycling at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, has expressed his desire to earn a national camp call-up as a reward for his performance.

Speaking to journalists shortly after his victory, Olalekan was elated with joy and optimism about Team Kwara’s prospects at the festival. He stated that the team is determined to win more medals as the competition progresses.

“The zeal and unwavering dedication of our coach has been a major source of motivation behind my eagerness to deliver gold for Kwara,” Olalekan remarked.

He also expressed strong belief in the capabilities of Team Kwara, emphasizing that the athletes are approaching each event with utmost seriousness and determination to make the state proud.
