ARSENE WENGER has told Nigeria’s manager that there’s plenty to come from star man Alex Iwobi.
The winger burst onto the first-team scene last season and has kept his place this term.
Iwobi is now turning on the style for the Nigeria international side too.
And their manager Gernot Rohr says Wenger has told him to expect even more from the 20-year-old wing wonder.
“When I met Arsene Wenger last month, we talked about Iwobi and he told me there’s more to his game than what we are seeing at the moment,” he said.
“He is a confident lad. He is not afraid to try new tricks in training and games.
“He can only get better; his best is yet to come.”
Iwobi, nephew of Premier League legend Jay-Jay Okocha, has made 14 appearances for Arsenal this term – but is yet to find the net.
The Gunners academy graduate scored in first Arsenal goal against Watford last season and followed that up with a strike at Everton the following week.
