Ghanaian star Christian Atsu rescued from rubble, rushed to hospital

Ghanaian star Christian Atsu has been found after being trapped under rubble following a massive earthquake that struck Turkey in the early hours of Monday.

Sporting Tribune earlier reported that the Hatayspor forward was trapped following a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that rocked Turkey, killing over 1500 individuals.

The development caused an outpouring of emotions and prayers for the Ghanaian star to be found.

In an update concerning Atsu’s status, Ghanaian journalist Saddick Adams in a post on Twitter confirmed that the star has been found and taken to hospital.

Although Atsu’s health status wasn’t confirmed in the tweet.

He tweeted, “I’m still in contact with Christian Atsu’s management. A teammate of Atsu has confirmed to them, the player has been found and taken to the hospital.

“They expect an official statement from his club soon.

“Prayers still with him and everyone. Trust God he is safe.

According to the Guardian, Atsu suffered injuries to his right foot and breathing difficulties.
