Nigerian and Giresun Sanayispor mercurial midfielder, Kafayat Folakemi Shittu, has expressed her delight following her side’s promotion to the Turkish Women’s Super League.
Shittu stated this during a chat with journalists.
Giresun Sanayispor lost the final playoff game to Yuksekova by a lone goal but secured their first-ever promotion to the Super League despite the defeat.

She has been outstanding on her side throughout the season with scintillating performances.
“I’m happy to be among the players that qualify the team for promotion, this is the first time, and I’m happy to be part of the achievement,” she said.
The former Moje Queens midfielder also hailed her teammates and the technical crew for achieving the great feat.
Giresun Sanayispor ended the playoffs season in second position behind Yuksekova, who emerged as the champions of the Turkish Women’s Football League Play-off.
