Renowned FIFA-licensed football agent, Dr Drew Uyi, has congratulated the Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Desmond Amadin Enabulele, following Edo State’s emergence as overall champions at the 2nd Niger Delta Games, describing the feat as “a golden moment in the state’s sporting history.”
In a statement issued after the conclusion of the games, Drew Uyi praised the exceptional performance of Team Edo, noting that the athletes displayed discipline, resilience, technical superiority, and an unyielding winning spirit throughout the competition.
“Team Edo’s performance at the 2nd Niger Delta Games was nothing short of spectacular. Our athletes demonstrated excellence, determination, and true sportsmanship. Their dominance across various sporting events reflects the depth of talent and the effectiveness of the structures put in place to nurture them,” he stated.
Drew Uyi specifically commended the leadership of Desmond Amadin Enabulele for what he described as strategic planning, focused preparation, and consistent investment in athlete development.

He further attributed the success to the unwavering support and contributions of the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, acknowledging his administration’s dedication to sports development and youth empowerment.
“Under the leadership of Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, Edo State has continued to prioritise sports as a vital tool for youth engagement, unity, and socio-economic development. His administration’s investments in sports infrastructure, talent discovery, and capacity building have laid the foundation for this outstanding achievement,” Uyi added.
According to him, the synergy between the state government and the Sports Commission has strengthened Edo’s reputation as a powerhouse in Nigerian sports.
Uyi encouraged the athletes to remain focused and continue striving for excellence in future competitions, assuring them of continued support from stakeholders and well-meaning Edo citizens.
The foremost international brand expert said Edo State’s victory at the Niger Delta Games was particularly more gratifying after the State last won a national or regional multi-sports competition in 24 years
