Habu Gumel re-elected as NOC president

ENGINEER Habu Gumel has been re-elected as the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).

Gumel polled 21 votes to defeat another former NOC president, Engineer Sani Ndanusa who polled 19 votes in the election held on Thursday in Jalingo, Taraba State.

The first Vice President is Solomon Ogba won with 24 votes, while the second Vice President Ishaku Tikon was elected unopposed. The third Vice President Olumide Oyedeji won with 24 votes.

The President, Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF), Mrs Ola- bisi Joseph emerged as the fourth Vice President of the NOC.

Tunde Popoola, was elected as Secretary General as Deputy General Secretary Abdullahi Muhammed was elected unopposed.

Engineer Musa Kida polled 22 votes to emerge as the Treasurer as Tony Nezianya was elected as Public Relations Officer (PRO).
