TOTTENHAM’S contract talks with Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris have stalled, according to reports.
While Daniel Levy and co have nailed down a nucleus of young talent for Spurs, including the likes of Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Christian Eriksen, they’ve failed to tie-up two of their biggest stars to long-term deals.
The Independent says both Lloris and Kane are expecting new contracts worth at least £100,000-a-week, despite Levy being unwilling to reach that amount for his players.
Their report claims Kane, who’s currently on £60,000-a-week, is expecting at least the same as Jamie Vardy, who earned himself a £100,000-a-week deal at Leicester after last season’s exploits.
And Lloris is thought to be a long way apart from Tottenham in the amount he expects to stay at the club past the end of his current deal in 2019.
Funds could be tight at White Hart Lane as the London club sets about building a new stadium, due to be completed in 2018.
Although centre-back Jan Vertonghen is set to give his club a boost by agreeing a new long-term deal.
The Independent’s report says the Belgium star will put pen to paper in the near future.
