Hibs manager pardons rebel Efe Ambrose

Hibernian manager, Neil Lennon has disclosed that he has no stone to grind with Efe Ambrose who teamed up with the rest of the squad at Easter Road Stadium.

The Super Eagles defender went on an extended break which was not sanctioned by his club and was declared missing by the Hibs manager.

‘’The eagle has landed,” Lennon told Edinburg evening news.

“The hatchet has been buried – in his head. No, it’s been dealt with. He was off until Monday and had a personal issue. There was a slight communication problem, but he is here now, he is fine and he is in good health. That’s the end to it.

“I’m satisfied with his explanation. He’s not the type to blank anyone or be malicious about it. He is a good professional. He did have an issue and has explained that fully and it’s fine. But you still have to deal with that internally,” he concluded.

The former Celtic player signed a permanent deal with the Edinburg giants after helping the team secure promotion to the Scottish topflight.

Though Ambrose may miss the game against Montrose on Saturday, the Nigerian will be expected to be in the squad that will clash with Ross County on July 21.
