Hoffenheim have refused to deny or confirm reports they are interested in signing Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Taye Academy product could quit Manchester City in the summer, with the village team facing competition from Bayer Leverkusen for his signature.
Hoffeinheim’s media manager Christian Frommert was contacted to confirm the possibility of Iheanacho joining the club when the transfer window opens for business.
Frommert replied allnigeriasoccer: ”We don’t comment on transfer rumours. Best regards”.
Kelechi Iheanacho has 501 minutes of game time in the Premier League this term out of a possible 2,880 minutes, and a move to Germany might help him play on a regular basis ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
