Hull City suffer huge injury blow with Moses Odubajo set for lengthy spell on the sidelines

Tigers defence down to the bare bones as Mike Phelan desperately plots to stop the rot

Moses Odubajo has dealt Hull City a major blow by damaging his knee cap in training.

Exciting right back Odubajo will now be out for a lengthy spell after suffers the blow as he closed on a comeback.

Odubajo, signed from Brentford, was aiming for a quick return before this latest setback in training.

The luckless star is unlikely to figure for the rest of the year as the Hull medical team assess the problem fully.

It is a huge blow for boss Mick Phelan whose small squad also lost left back Andrew Robertson for a couple of months with another knee injury.

The Tigers are struggling at the back heading into Saturday’s home clash with Stoke City.

As SunSport exclusively revealed on Wednesday, 17-year-old left-back Josh Tymon is set to be included in the side for the visit of the Potters.

The England U17 international could become one of the lowest-paid players ever to appear in the Premier League should Phelan give the £160-a-week prodigy the nod.

Tymon has yet to be sorted out with a professional deal despite making appearances in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.
