Marko Arnautovic
West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The 29-year-old, who worked under Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan in 2009, still has four years left to run on his current deal at the London Stadium, but that is not stopping talk of a reunion with the Portuguese tactician.
Mourinho was spotted in the stands as Austria took on Russia in a friendly clash last week, adding fuel to the fire that a bid could be in the pipeline.
Arnautovic impressed again as Austria shocked Germany 2-1 over the weekend, but this time Mourinho was not present. That did nothing to stop the subject being brought up after the match though.
“It’s nice to hear,” the 29-year-old told Vivaro News when asked about United’s interest. “I’ve not heard anything from my brother, my agent. You can keep asking this question, you’ll never hear the answer from me.”
When asked about Mourinho watching him in action, he added: “He was on holiday, he told you. I haven’t spoken to him, he was on holidays.”
