I am too big for Wolves ―Origi

Wolves have been put on red alert as Liverpool prepare to sell Divock Origi in January but he reportedly wants to aim ‘higher’.

Het Laatste Nieuws claim Liverpool will put the 23-year-old striker in the shop window next month with Jurgen Klopp prepared to let him go permanently.

Origi has spent two seasons out on loan at Lille and Wolfsburg since Liverpool paid £10million for him in 2014.

But he has got just 18 months left on his Anfield contract and, despite scoring the Reds’ dramatic late winner in the Merseyside derby 15 days ago, he remains on the outer fringes of Klopp’s squad.

His solitary Premier League start came three days later at Burnley but, since then, he was an unused substitute at Bournemouth and didn’t make the 18-man squad at all for their win over Manchester United on Sunday.

After the busy Christmas period and the early rounds of the FA Cup he will be kicking his heels in the reserves again unless he makes a move in January.

Wolves are expected to vie for his signature once more after reportedly making a £19million bid in the summer, but reports in Belgium claim Origi wants to aim ‘higher’.
