I can handle Salah ―Rudiger

The Blues defender Antonio Rudiger has fired a warning to Mohamed Salah ahead of Sunday’s Chelsea return.

Rudiger and Salah were on the books of AS Roma last season, with their respective exploits secured moves to Liverpool and Chelsea respectively.

They have had contrasting seasons with Egypt international going on to net 43 goals across all competitions, while German star has found it tough to nail down a regular starting berth for the dethroned Premier League Champions.

The two come face to face once more this weekend as Liverpool travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in a match which could have strong implications on the race for the top four.

He told Football Focus: “If I play, it will be a direct duel against Salah. The good thing is, I’m not slow!

“He’s the most polite guy I have ever met in football. He’s a fantastic person.

“Of course you are always a bit surprised but I know his ability, his potential and I knew he would be good for Liverpool.

Salah did find the target when Liverpool took on Chelsea at Anfield back in November, in a 1-1 draw, but Rudiger played no part in that encounter and will be looking to secure a clean sheet this time around.
