Wilfred Ndidi
Wilfred Ndidi has revealed that his experiences at the 2018 World Cup will help him become a better player in future, having faced the likes of Barcelona’s Argentina star Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Croatia duo Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic in Russia.
The Leicester City defensive midfielder recovered in time from a hamstring complaint to play a key role for the Super Eagles, who were heading to the knockout rounds until a late goal from Rojo ended their World Cup.
”The World Cup was an amazing experience and you see different kinds of players. You see players you see on TV and players from [teams like] Real Madrid,” Ndidi said to LCFC TV.

”I would say I learned some things from these players. I’m playing against them and you know what they do, they think very fast.
”There is nothing like growing, so learning from all those things will make me grow. I’ll just keep pushing and give everything and look forward to the games.”
Leicester City announced that Ndidi has extended his contract until the summer of 2024, a day after their first win of the new season against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
