“It will attract more members in Ibadan and outside Ibadan to IGC. It will make more revenue and also improving the profile of the club.

“I have not lost sight in the economic situation, even as that, there are still many corporate organisations who are ready in promotion and development in the game of club, our activities will be interest of what we are doing to invest and promote the game of golf. My advice to my members is to be disciplined and be loyal,” Sunmonu said.

Meanwhile, President, Nigeria Golf Federation, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola charged the newly-inaugurated IGC executive to move the club forward and make it compete with other top clubs in the country.

“My advice to the new exco is that they should have in their mind the trust imposed in them by the members of Ibadan Golf club.

“The expectation is enormous because they [officers] are voted in to continue with the developmental strength we have witnessed in IGC. I know that they are all seasoned golfers and they know the trend of development and they will continue to work hard too on what has been achieved in Ibadan Golf Club. I wish the new executive a very successful tenure,” Oyinlola said.
