Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'apology' rejected by Nedum Onuoha after MLS war of words
Zlatan Ibrahimovic got another MLS winner – but a confrontation with ex-Man City defender Nedum Onuoha spilled into the dressing room.
Tensions between the two began to brew after LA Galaxy striker Ibrahimovic appeared to catch Real Salt Lake’s Onuoha with his arm, prompting a square-up afterwards.
Ibrahimovic was booked, but would go on to have the deciding say in the match – scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory and making a point of going straight to Onuoha.
The former Manchester United forward’s visit to the opposition’s dressing room after the match was not well received, either.

“He came in to apologise after the game, because from 60 minutes in, he’s saying he’s going to do me, he’s going to hurt me for that game,” Onuoha said after the match.
“This is a guy who is the face of MLS, as he calls himself, and he plays that way on the field.
“If someone comes in and says that to me, I’m not going to accept his apology. It’s unacceptable.”
Ibrahimovic was less apologetic in front of the post-match media, saying “what happens on the field stays on the field”.
“I like to feel alive,” he added. “I like when it becomes duels and that because sometimes, not that I fall asleep, but I don’t feel alive if they don’t activate me.”
