Ideye celebrates first China goal

Super Eagles forward, Brown Ideye has expressed delight after he opened his goals account in the Chinese Super League (CSL) as he helped Tianjin Teda to a 3-1 victory against Yanbian Funde inside the prestigious Tianjin Tuanbo Soccer Stadium.

The former West Bromwich Albion striker had failed to score in his previous five matches for the club after he missed the first game of the season in the six-week old competition.

After the first half ended goalless, Mirahmetjan Muzepper worked the ball beautifully into the path of Qiu Tianyi and he made no mistake with his finish.

The goal gave the home side added energy as they poured forward and grabbed the second through Hu Rentian before Ideye scored the third. However, they were denied a clean sheet as Trawally scored a late consolation for the away side to end the game 3-1.

“That feeling when you scored your first goal, PRICELESS!!! Good job guys,Good the spirit,” Ideye tweeted after the game.

Tianjin Teda played without captain, Mikel Obi, who is currently nursing an injury but he will be delighted with the result as his club climbed to ninth on the CSL log with eight points after six matches.
