Captain, Ibadan Golf Club (IGC), Barrister Idowu Salami
Ibadan Golf Club’s Captain’s Day golf tournament to mark stewardship of the captain of the club, Barrister Idowu Salami tees off tomorrow at IGC, Onireke, Ibadan by 6:30 am.
Salami, who will hand over the mantle of leadership after the tourney would host a number of golfers across the country in the one day tourney.
Already, the tournaments for the caddies and professionals had been concluded on Thursday ahead of the Captain’s Day event.
“The Captain’s Day is like the hallmark of the Captain’s tenure in office whereby he is being celebrated. In some clubs, the Captain’s Day event is invitational but what we will have on Saturday [today] will be an open tournament.

“We would have number of golfers across the country as well as the Captains of all Golf Clubs in the south-west and possibly their officials too,” Salami, who said logistics have been put in place to make the event a memorable one said.

Meanwhile, some projects are expected to be commissioned tomorrow as the closing ceremony holds the same day by 5:00pm.
