Manchester United star Odion Ighalo has revealed he’s enjoyed his time with the club. The Nigeria international is poised to return to parent club Shanghai Shenhua on January 31. But he’ll be hoping to feature in the Red Devils’ crunch Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

United signed Ighalo on transfer deadline day in January last year.

The Nigeria international arrived from Shanghai Shenhua after the club missed out on Erling Haaland, who swapped Red Bull Salzburg for Borussia Dortmund.

Ighalo initially did well at United, scoring five goals last term as the Red Devils finished in the Premier League top four.

But he’s struggled for action this term, with the former Watford star firmly behind Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani in the pecking order.

Despite that, however, Ighalo has admitted he’s enjoyed his time with the club.

“It was a good one and a tough one, before I came to United I never thought I would play,” Ighalo told ESPN. “I’m a Reds fan.

“I’m fulfilled as a football player, if I don’t achieve anything from now when I finish my career I am fulfilled.”

Ighalo has admitted he’s intrigued by a potential move to the MLS in future, namedropping David Beckham’s Inter Miami.

“I have been watching MLS and the league is doing well and I would like to play in the MLS,” Ighalo added.

“I have to wait for offers and if the opportunity arises, I will take it because the league is doing well and it is a good life and I would love it.

“Lots of players go there. Even Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus is there, also Giovanni dos Santos.
