The founder/initiator of the Mark D Ball Basketball Championship, Mark Igoche, will on Monday in Abuja, host the Lagos Legends Basketball Club (LLBC) to a grand reception in recognition of their outstanding performance and historic victory at the recently concluded abridged basketball league organised by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).
LLBC emerged victorious in the Nigeria Basketball Premier League, defeating Rivers Hoopers 74-72 in a thrilling Final 4 decider in Port Harcourt on November 24, 2025. With the win, Lagos Legends secured a spot in next year’s Basketball Africa League (BAL), marking a significant achievement for the team.
Igoche has also extended an invitation to basketball stakeholders and enthusiasts to join him in honouring the 2025 champions in a grand celebration of triumph and a testament to their dedication and excellence.
The event is expected to bring together prominent figures in Nigeria’s basketball circle, including NBBF officials, coaches, players and fans and also to celebrate with the champions in their hard-fought victory and historic qualification for the BAL.
