I’m better than Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar -Ex-Brazil star

Former Brazil star, Edilson has said that he was better than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar at the peak of his playing career.

Edilson helped the national team win the 2002 World Cup and also claimed four Brazilian league titles with Palmeiras and Corinthians.

“At my best, I played better than Neymar,” he told TV Bandeirantes “He needs to win the World Cup in order to be better than.

“I have personality and for Messi to be better than me, he also has to win the World Cup.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is just strength, he strikes the ball well with both feet but I’m more skillful than him.”

Barcelona’s Messi came closest to winning the competition but Argentina lost 1-0 to Germany in the 2014 final in Brazil.

Juventus forward Ronaldo and Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar have both reached the World Cup semifinals but failed to advance with losses to France and Germany respectively.
