Luka Modric has insisted he is ‘extremely happy’ at Real Madrid and wants to spend ‘several years’ at the club.
The Croatia international, who was named UEFA Men’s Player of the Year on Thursday, was heavily linked with a move to FC Internazionale Milano this summer and appeared keen to make the move to the Giuseppe Meazza following the World Cup.
The midfielder was arguably the stand-out player in Russia but, following speculation over his club future, the former Tottenham man has now made it clear he is happy and settled at Madrid.

The 32-year-old is quoted by Marca saying: “I’m not happy – I’m extremely happy at Real Madrid and I want to continue at this club for several years.”
