Inter Milan are eyeing a loan deal, with a view to signing the defender permanently for a fee in the region of £25m.
The figure would be £10m less than what the Gunners paid for Mustafi last summer, and it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger would consider letting the Germany international leave.
Juventus have also been keeping tabs on the 25-year-old’s future, but Inter remain hopeful they can pip their Italian rivals to his signature.
Arsenal may look to continue their summer clear out, but having already seen Gabriel Paulista leave for Valencia, can they afford to let such a key player leave this late in the window?
