The terrorist group continues their campaign of intimidation aimed at next summer’s competition in Russia. They have used the Real Madrid star in their latest threatening montage.

Over the last month, ISIS has launched a series of threats for the World Cup in Russia. The so-called Islamic State plan an attack to raise the alarm in one of the biggest sporting events across the globe.

After using Messi and Neymar in previous warnings, Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest to appear on a poster, browbeaten by a jihadist soldier.

The Portuguese forward has been the focus of the latest threat issued by Islamic State to remind the world of football of their intentions next summer in Russia, where the players themselves could be targeted.

“Our words are what you see NOT what you hear. So, just you wait. We are waiting too…”, was the message along with the image of a downtrodden Ronaldo with a blackned eye. He appears down on his knees, while a soldier holding a knife approaches from behind.
