FORMER Arsenal midfielder, Ray Parlour, has tipped Alex Iwobi to be a huge star at the Emirates.
Parlour also highlighted the youngster’s strengths and analyses what Iwobi needs to do to ensure that he fulfils his full potential at the club.
Ray has been particularly impressed with the 20-year-old Alex Iwobi this season.
“He’s an up and coming star, he really is.
“I really like the way he plays and he deserves his spot at the minute.
“That’s what these youngsters have to do. I think Jack Wilshere was very similar when he first got into the first team, he was very hard to leave out in the end.
“That’s what you’ve got to do, give the manager a problem.
“I think with Alex, there are some top players on the bench that he’s keeping out at the minute and that’s credit to him.
“He’s got to keep working hard.
“He’s a youngster but he must be enjoying playing with the likes of Ozil, Sanchez, the midfield they’ve got in there.
“He’s improving all the time, he’s comfortable on the ball, he can see a pass. His footwork is excellent for a big lad.”
Parlour advised the Nigerian international to keep his feet firmly on the ground.
“He’s done really well and he’s just got to keep his feet on the ground and keep working hard and I’m sure he’ll be a massive star for Arsenal.
