Iwobi set for Everton debut

Everton manager, Marco Silva has provided an update on Iwobi’s chances of making his debut for Everton when they tackle Watford on Saturday.

In his pre-match conference as published by Liverpool Echo, the manager revealed that the summer signing from Arsenal is doing well in training sessions and he’s working hard to be in perfect condition for the encounter.

Despite revealing that the player his in good shape, Silva didn’t confirm if the former Arsenal winger cum midfielder will be included in his match-day squad for tomorrow’s game.

“He’s working really hard and well. It’s up to me whether I put Alex in the squad tomorrow,” Silva stated.

“Now is my job to settle them in the right way. Some are ready if I need them. Some need some time.

“Alex (Iwobi) arrived last week. Some are ready to play if I decide.”

He added: “In the meantime we have to work with them inside. They will learn more but in time I have to decide the best XI in each game.” he said concerning Iwobi and other summer signings. ”

Iwobi joined Everton on a five-year deal on transfer deadline day which ended his fifteen-year association with Arsenal.
