Javier Hernandez in talks with Premier League club

Former Manchester United striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez is in talks with West Ham to seal his Premier League return.

The Mexican striker signed for Bayer Leverkusen in August 2015 after a spell at Old Trafford. Over the past two seasons, Hernandez has scored 39 goals for the Germans.

Leverkusen signed the player for £7.3m and now want even more than what is stated on his £13 million release clause. With Liverpool also reporting interest in the former Red Devil, West Ham appear most willing to sign the centre-forward.

The Hammers are prepared to pay Bayer Leverkusen’s asking price and have already begun negotiations to complete the signing of their to priority to strengthen the attack.

West Ham have also held talks with Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City, Olivier Giroud from Arsenal, Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi and Anthony Modeste from Koln, showing just how committed they are to reinforcing a particular weak spot of theirs.
