Jose Mourinho is trying to get himself sacked at Manchester United, according to Sky Sports pundit Tony Gale.
The 53-year-old faces a two-game ban after being charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following his dismissal in the first half of Manchester United’s draw against West Ham on Sunday.
Mourinho kicked a water bottle in anger after Paul Pogba was given a yellow card for diving out of the way of Mark Noble’s challenge, and the United boss was sent to the stands for the second time this season by referee Jon Moss.
And Gale believes the Portuguese’s antics are a signal of his desire to quit Old Trafford just six months after taking the job.
‘My interpretation of Jose’s actions at the weekend is that he wants out of the job,’ said the former West Ham defender.
‘He looks like a man that wants to get sacked. I can’t really understand what is going on with him.’
