Legendary boxing promoter, Bob Arum has blasted Anthony Joshua’s US debut against Andy Ruiz Jr and claimed nobody will watch it.
Arum, who promoted the likes of Muhammad Ali, Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao, has called it a “worse fight” than Tyson Fury versus Tom Schwarz that takes place on June 15.
Joshua goes into the fight as a huge favourite to retain his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world titles on his first battle on US soil.
But according to Arum, the Brit’s first fight over the Atlantic won’t be one to live long in the memory.

The 87-year-old added: “They’re going to get absolutely no publicity and it’s on DAZN in the United States, which nobody watches, nobody has.
“So Joshua is not going to get the ride that he should for his first fight in the United States.
“That is not a pejorative on Eddie and so forth, it worked out bad for him. Because with Miller he would have had a shot (to) get publicity, everything worked out bad.”
