JUVENTUS can claim the first title of a possible domestic and European treble when they face Lazio in the Coppa Italia final in Rome on Wednesday.
Juve need a win from their final two matches to secure a sixth consecutive Serie A title, despite having lost 3-1 to closest rivals Roma on Sunday.
They play Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Cardiff on 3 June.
And victory over Lazio, fourth in the league, would secure the Italian Cup for a third successive year.
The match – to be held at the Stadio Olimpico, Lazio’s home ground but technically a neutral venue – is a repeat of the 2015 final, when Juve won 2-1 after extra-time.
“It’s one step at a time,” Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri said.
“We have to get right back on our feet for Wednesday and then again for our next league match against Crotone.
“Now we’ve got the cup final, then we’ll concentrate on the league and, lastly the Champions League.”
Lazio’s last major honour was the 2013 Coppa Italia, and manager Simone Inzaghi – a former striker at the club – rested several key players for Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Fiorentina in preparation for the final.
Among those on the bench was top scorer Ciro Immobile, who began his career at Juve before being sold to Genoa in 2012.
“We know how strong they are so we’re obviously very concentrated. We know we’ll need the perfect match,” said the 27-year-old, who has scored 25 goals this season.
The only Italian club to have won the treble of league, cup and Champions League or European Cup is Inter Milan, when managed by Jose Mourinho in 2010.
The last club to achieve the feat was Barcelona, who won the treble for a second time in 2015 – six years after their first.
Celtic were the first team to win the treble, in 1967, while Manchester United achieved the feat in 1999.
