Kante (center) celebrates with teammates after scoring his first goal of the season on Saturday.
N’Golo Kante has revealed he is being asked to play a more attacking role under new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as the Italian looks to install more adventurous football at Stamford Bridge.
The French World Cup winner netted the Blues” opening goal in their victory away to Huddersfield on the opening day of the season and played noticeably more attacking than under predecessor Antonio Conte.
In their final pre-season friendly, summer signing Jorginho could be seen instructing Kante to get forward, and the midfielder will not be a pure destroyer this season.
“Yes it’s a new manager and a new system,” Kante told beINSPORTS when asked about life under Sarri.
“I play a little bit more forward and I will give my best in this position for the team and I hope we can keep doing good things for the future.
