Kenedy returns to Newcastle on season-long loan from Chelsea

Kenedy has returned to Newcastle Newcastle on a season-long loan. The Chelsea winger has completed the temporary switch back to the club where he spent the second half of last season.

Kenedy was an undoubted success at St James’ Park, helping Rafa Benitez’s men achieve an unlikely top half finish.

“I am so happy with this interest from Rafa Benitez, that he came back for me,” Kenedy said after completing the move.

Kenedy is Newcastle’s third arrival of the summer so far, having already landed goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and midfielder Ki Sung-yeung.

Benitez said: Benitez said: “I’m really pleased to have Kenedy back with us. I’m sure every fan will be happy with this signing.

“Hopefully he can keep playing at the same level that he reached with us last season. I wish him all the best for his time here.”
