Nigeria Preofessional Football League (NPFL) club, Kwara United FC on Thursday unveiled 35 players for the new football season in Illorin, the state capital.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony at the Sugar Film Factory along Ajase Ipo road in Ilorin, the general manager of the football club, Mallam Bashir Badawi, said that the team is set to surprise lots of people this season.
Badawi, who said that 17 of the players unveiled are new players, added that 18 of them are old players.
He called on the team’s coach to work on the players, especially, the strikers to ensure good results, saying that connection between midfielders and attackers are necessary to achieve goal harvest.
The team’s general manager, who called for better training field for his players, said that the one they use presently needs urgent maintenance.
The team’s general manager, who said that the players just returned from playing tours of some states of the federation, added that the players showed the stuff they are made of in superlative performances recorded during the tours.
Also speaking, the coach of the Kwara United FC, Tunde Sanni, said that the team was ready for the season with quality players, adding that the team can now boast of capable strikers.
The event was also witnessed by the team’s psychologist, Yomi Vincent, while the players were led by the Ass. Captain, Kabiru Mohammed.
