As part of their humanitarian services, the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) Western zone in collaboration with Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) on Friday associated with the children of Oluyole Cheshire home.
LGAN Vice President, Mary Okunola led other lady golfers which include; former IGC Lady Captain, Mrs Lizzy Afonja; Lady Captain, Tiger Golf Club, Mrs Oyinlola Omajuwa; IGC Lady Captain, Grace Brown; Lady Captain, Ogbomoso Golf Club, Sade Ajala and former Lady Captain, IGC, Jumoke Cripps to donate food items to the House.
Speaking, Okunola said it was necessary to identify with the needies and show love to them.
“One of the things we Nigeria need to understand is that we must remember the needy, it is not having ceremonies, weddings and all that alone we should do, we should always remember the less-privileged. We are here to show mercy and appreciate God and at the same time give a token that we have to these children and that is what we did,” Cripps stated.
In her remarks, the coordinator of the House, Mrs Ayo Alabi thanked the groups for associating with them.
Meanwhile, no fewer than 200 golfers across the country would compete in the LGAN-organised Western Zone inaugural golf kitty scheduled to tee off today at IGC Onireke, Ibadan.
According to Okunola, logistics have been put in place to make the one-day kitty, organised for both male and female golfers a memorable one.
The ceremonial tee off is scheduled for 7:00am while the closing ceremony holds also today at 6:00pm.
