Leicester City will rehabilitate Iheanacho ―Brendan Rodgers

Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has pledged to assist Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, to revamp his dwindling football career.

Rogers dropped this hint on Leicester TV while reacting to the exclusion of the player from the list of players that will represent Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations starting in Egypt I two days’ time.

Iheanacho and Rotherdam FC of England defender Semi Ajayi were dropped from the 23 man provisional list by Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr in Asaba last week.

The former Liverpool manager said he felt very bad that Iheanacho didn’t make it to Egypt but he strongly believes that he (Iheanacho) still has a lot to offer club and country in future.

“I and other coaches will do our best work on him technically, physically and psychologically to keep in good shape before and during the 2019/2020 premier league as well as other competitions” Rogers said.

“Something tells me that Iheanacho will bounce back if he is properly managed”. He added.

Tribunesports gathered that the former Manchester City striker is planning to employ a personal trainer who is expected to be working with him on his days off and after training with the East Midlands clubs.
